First combine I bought was a Model K Gleaner- drove it home 140 miles in one day (1976). Had the bean head on it- the two row corn head was in the pickup. Cousin and I drove both home, pickup fuel pump went out 90 miles from home, stopped at a farmer's yard at Fairfax, Mn., he gave me his pickup to catch up with my cousin who had to get home for milking, I got the combine home at 10:30 pm. Lloyd Hinderman was the farmer's name- never met him before- try that in the big city!
