You are generally right. Unless you wish to use a front-mount cultivator, some don't fit on a wide front end. Or if you wish to mount a corn picker. Of course. Even a pull type corn picker, much easier using my narrow front S77 than the IHC300 wide front - easier to make those corners at the end rows. When I have to back a wagon up, or hayrack into the barn, I go for that short-turning narrow front _every_ chance I get! Much, much better. Some loader work, like loading up manure pack, works a little better with a narrow front - asuming the older tractors have narrow manure buckets, and going in & out of the narrow barn door. Pulling a narrow corn planter, those narrow fronts can really swing around without so many end rows, taking up room. And other such jobs where turning on a dime is very helpful. That's not to say your point isn't valid. But, sometimes it's not even close in the other direction, either. :) --->Paul
