Les, I've seen and done some wild things with J-B. Have a cummins 230 big cam in a dump truck in our fleet with a very large patch where a rod went through the block, no leaks. Have seen it used to fix the bores of flywheel engines. Have fixed cracks and done repairs of all kinds. Nothing to lose except a little time and few bucks for the J-B. Go for it and save the block!
