Ran into a guy selling a Ford 901 SOS tractor. He called it a "Golden Jubilee" (wrong!). He showed me the gold paint under the peeling blue and gray paint and said that's why he said it was a Golden Jubilee. Turns out it was a rare gold dealer demonstrator. Only about 2500 ever made and probably less than 25% of those left. I looked it over thoroughly and there was gold paint on every part. I chickened out because I don't know squat about fixing and SOS tranny. Then there was the Funk 6 cyl Ford 8N that was owned by my grandfather. I didn't know it was anything special until after my aunt (who bought it from him) traded it in on a new Chinese tractor. ARRRGH!

Product Review: Black Tire Paint - by Staff. I have been fortunate in that two of my tractors have had rear tires that were in great shape when I bought the tractor. My model "H" even had the old style fronts with plenty of tread. My "L" fronts were mismatched Sears Guardsman snow tires, which I promptly tossed.
