After reading everything I can find......you operators are smart. All have wide fronts. Oliver 550. Pictures look like a 'big', it is a small tractor with amazing drawbar of 35HP- must pull best in its class. Live PTO...fits well. Allis Chalmers...Some say too small, however close to same weight as Oliver 550 & drawbar of 30hp. Wheel base close to 550 as well. Massey Ferguson 35...Perhaps ideal. Parts still manufactured, live PTO & drawbar of 30hp. Perkins 3 cyl is sweet or gasoline engine is good. Ford 661 or 861...Both good tractors, low to ground, live PTO. Drawbar of 25hp & 32hp on 861. Superior to 8N or 9N. Ford 2000 or 4000. Newer Fords. Live PTO. Drawbar of 28hp & 41hp for 4000. Any of the above fine equipment. Boils down to best price & condition/availability.
