Wayne, Fun stuff, the way the tractors varied over the years, and the way they were modified over the years. Makes for a real detective job. First thing to do is figure out whether the generator you have and the one you're going to use is a 2 brush or 3 brush type. The 3 brush will mate up with the 2 terminal cutout and the 4 position light switch. The 2 brush generator will need the 4 terminal regulator and the 3 position light switch. Probably all as clear as mud - but there's a decent article about the whole subject posted on the site here (actually two articles).
