Gee, Most of my cars and pickups start life with me at 150K.. And I'm in the rust belt of upstate NY. I tend to get later model high mileage stuff.. Like my Toyota Pickup, which now has almost 275,000 miles on the shell. It's on the second motor, due to some ill advised skinflint radiator repairs on the first motor. 3000 mile oil changes with whatever I pick up at Advance or Walmart. Then there's my 89 GMC K-1500 pickup.. This does have its third transmission, which kinda verifies your statement about automatics. However, it has been a Central Tractor delivery truck and then a plow truck all of its life, so it has had a hard road to run. NOw it has a tranny cooler which might have saved the last tranny from burning up. Rust took out a gas tank and an exhaust or two, and is starting to work on the floor now. Still, it is reliable and I wouldn't hesitate to drive it to the other side of the country. My method for inexpensive automobiles is to buy high mileage or damaged stuff, fix it myself, then maintain it. I have less in my two trucks than the average person who buys a new one loses the first month in depreciation. And if somebody happens to run into one and total it, I'll make money! Anyhow, thats my take on high mileage stuff.. I'll spend my money on cheap oil changes, a little more in repairs than a newer truck, and still have a lot left over from your average truck payment (Including collision insurance). Now if I had a wife I'd at least be spending a little more money on paint jobs and such, but I still wouldn't be buying new...or Mobil one.

The golden corn ripens well and early, the stoking, stacking,.... the drawing in with the tractors and trailers and a few buck rakes thrown in, and possibly a heavy horse. It would be a great day for the collies and the terrier dogs, rats and mice would be at the bottom of the stacks so the dogs, would have a busy time hunting and killing, all the corn was gathered and ricked in what we c
