I put up steel frame buildings for a living. Put up quite a few farm shops around here. Floor heat is a really good idea, but dont put R-board under the floor. Had a floor crack and pinched the hoses for the floor heat due to the board not being there when we tore the floor up. IT WILL DETERIORATE AFTER SOME TIME. If you want it around the foundation thats fine. My suggestion to you if any thing is to use a Low-E insulation. It is only 3/16" thick and about an R-7. Made out of recyled milk jugs. Made some where in Penn. I can get samples to you if you need some. If you do use floor heat, it is also a good idea to have fan forced heater also. Use it to reheat the air after you open and close the overhead door. Possibly a used on out a home. Just used a 90'000 Btu to heat a 40x40x14.
