That seems like a fair deal, right in the ballpark price wise. Look the engine over carefully for cracks. Antifreeze wasn't in use when these old girls were in the field, and water jacket cracks from freezing up are pretty common. It's not a deal breaker, particularly if it's been properly repaired. Check the radiator for leaks. Again, not a deal breaker, but a PITA to fix properly. Check the gas tank for rust and floating crud. A good tip is to look at the fuel bowl on the fuel pump. The tanks tend to get pinhole leaks on the bottom from condensation over the years. Have a close look at the manifold. Cracks or a thin, rotted casting will mean replacement. About the only other common problem I'm aware of is the air cleaner. It hangs right out in front where it gets bumped, and the flange, which is part of the upper radiator casting, gets broken. Also, the oil cup tends to hold moisture and get pinhole leaks in it.
