DAD was in Germany during WWII He told me about their running trucks and tractors on some byproduct of potatoes. He told of one farmer who couldn't get his tractor started and cranked for hours. Being a farm boy dad and some of his buddies gave him about a gallon of gas. the tractor started imediately and then would run on the potato gas after it warmed up. Dad said the Germany farmer was very happy even though they couldn't understand each other. This was after the surrender and Dad was waiting to be shipped home. Hope we never have to burn potato gas, GOD BLESS AMERICA.
