This tractor has a book value of $10060.00 - cost of repairs in fair condition, $10790.00 - cost of repairs in good condition and $11550.00- cost of repairs in premium condition,,, Original average purchase price was $18290.00 If this an extremely distressed sale, you might concider it a good deal and someone needs some quick cash, but for the price, you gotta wonder what your getting into... I've always found in machinery, you get what you pay for and a deal like this might not be a good deal at all when you figure in parts labor and the amount of time it's spending in the shop rather then paying for itself by working. I'd try and get something saying the seller will deduct from the sales price for repairs over a pre-set amount..... Or the seller have repaired (by a 3rd party of mutual chosing) whatever is wrong then you can take possesion for a certain amount more. This might inspire the seller to 'fess up if there is more wrong with the tractor then meets the eye and give you more the a guess as to whether this really is a good deal.
