Addy H. and his silly Buddies supported burning wood in Cars, Tractors and Trucks in the ending 30`.The System was explored by a french engineer, Mr. Imbert. There was a plant in Cologne which builts Gas generators for vehicle use. Working with wood Generator was a very dirty Job. My Dad told me, that my Uncle and he went to buy cattle in North-Germany, and take a big Trailer with cutted wood with them to run the Cattle Truck. There was a Sawmill in the Village, and a lot of retired Men cutted the wood into litte pieces of appr. 4x2 inch. In the beginnig 80´, zhere was a Project to supported by german Government, but it died. At this Time there were built some Tractors like Zetor, Ihc or Deutz with Generators from Imbert, and Werner. There is a Museum in the Elsass to Mr. Imberts Honour. Bernhard, Derichsweiler Germany.
