The fact that it was only used for plowing would scare me a little more yet. If that was the case, it more than likely sat the vast majority of the year in the shed, which invites the previously mentioned dry rot and condensation in the various components. It also probably means that the tractor was probably started up bone dry after months of not being run at all, which surely doesn't do engine parts any good. Hearing that it came from the Scottsbluff area helps some, as that it pretty dry country (I used to live in that general area myself), but I'd still be a little wary of it. I'm not saying that it's going to fail or that it's a bad tractor, but I think I'd rather have a 1086 with 5000 or 6000 hours that has had good maintenance than that low-houred one. Especially considering that you could buy two of them with more hours for what that one brought.
