Ash is how much solid material left over when it burns. A high Ash content will tend to form more sludge and deposits in the engine.Low Ash content also seems to promote long valve life. This is a large list,but it will help you make an educated choice. I also dare anyone to tell me that Havoline 3 is better in ANY WAY than Mobil 1-Because I've heard this recently. Also note that Amsoil has Ash content,where Mobil 1 does not. note;VI is Viscosity Index.The higher the VI,the better. This unit was equipped with an 11 HP Honda engine with fuel shutoff, adjustable flow and optional syphon degreaser dispenser.
