I feel I might reiterate here. It's not the moisture in the gas, but, rather, the moisture in the air that freezes on the inside of the intake. The "heet" or alcohol, etc., only serves to keep the moisture in the air from freezing. The ice on the outside of the intake doesn't hurt a thing. It just lets us know what's going on inside. AND, YOU'RE RIGHT. tHE OLD DISTILLATE BURNERS WITH THE "INTEGRATED MANIFOLD" will heat up the intake to keeps this from happening. The tractor he is talking about has a loooong intake.
