Actually, I think that eventually, American Union workers are going to have to either lower their labor price, or find new skills in information data handling or in some very high tech occupation. The idea that the UAW DESERVES $25/hr because they are UNION is already competing at a disadvantage to $4/hr in Mexico or $2/hr in China. The major "premium" paid to such automotive industry jobs used to be deserved. However, those jobs are no longer "cutting edge" or really even all that "high skilled" andymore. Someone building a Nuclear Submarine or a Space Shuttle could easily require "premium wages" to match high tech skills. About anyone can be trained to build Combines, tractors, Balers and Planters. They are pricing themselves out of their jobs right now, and if they want to keep them, they'll either have to become way more productive or way less expensive. Back to the main question, will these new allegedly Farmalls really be made in JAPAN?
