Some information that i hope will be helpful: I'm a subcontractor for one of the larger snow removal services in Fairfax, VA. They pay me $70-$75/hour. This is for subdivisions and commercial lots. Usually travel time is included. I supply my pick up truck, my time, and my insurance. The money seems good, but after you factor in your time, maintenance, wear & tear on your equipment, and the potential for damage to other's property or your vehicle, the money doesn't seem that great. If I'm getting $75/hr, the company is probably getting $100-140? I charge $45-55 for most driveways. More if there's a big snow. (These are all fairly long driveways-100 yds or so )Every homeowner I've dealt with has been happy with the price. By the way, last week the neighbor of one of my customers had to pull me out of the woods with his '48 Ferguson.
