Politics is always a touchy subject and I have never had much interest in in the past. However, I was never more dismayed and lost faith in our polical system than when our current president was elected. I believe most of the actions of many of our leaders represent their personal interests and the interest of the corportate lobbies and the common man is far from being represented. In situations like Iraq it is the responsibity of the collective nations in the United Nations to enforce resolutions, not an independent state, just because we have the ability to do so does not mean we should. As a matter of financials, I do not wish to pay for the costs to rebuild countries like Iraq without taking care of our own first. Least we forget the million of americans without basics like healthcare. I believe alot of our nation's ills are the result of excess greed of a few and the corporations they run. Should I mention the number of "profitable" manufacturing plants my company has moved to Mexico. I personnaly believe in a loyality and commitment to your community are the best ways to go. I have heard the Bush family earns a lot of money in two industries, oil and defense, but I do not know if it true. It is ironic we do not seem to care too much about North Korea with their nuclear weapons and fuctional delivery systems.
