100 series way better than N series. You would want a 100 seies with a '6' in the middle. Good hyd, 3-point, 5-speed, and live pto. Lesser numbers will have less options, greater middle numbers will be the SoS tranny, which was a fine idea but can be terribly expensive to repair _when_ a tranny needs it's typical overhaul. A 660 would be a modern 'N' series, a 860 would be more HP, a 960 would be a row-crop version of a 860. With a '1' on the end would be about the same tractors, minor upgrades as they are newer. --->Paul
