Do a web search for "Oil additives" theres been lots of studies done. Ever wonder why Slick 50 has PTFE instead of "Teflon"? Its the same stuff, but Dupont won't let them use the "Teflon" name because they can't prove it does anything. Another interesting thing is that teflon isn't soluble in oil, which means theres little flakes of teflon floating around. I've read studies where the teflon will "clump up" and plug oil galleries... Seen the deal where they start a motor with no oil in it and it runs forever just fine because of the treatment? Yeah Briggs did to, did the same test, apparently ANY motor would run for the number of hours specified with no oil and (heres the kicker) no load. They then tore the motors down and the one with the additive looked worse... All the stuff I've written I've seen on the web, search around, you'll find it. The places with this stuff will even give you links to the "independant testing labs" will ANY of the snake oil companies do that? Nope.
