You'll regret not getting live or independent PTO- my vote is the Oliver 55/ 550. Same size as 8N Ford (some steering and hitch parts even interchange), but 35-40 HP, independent PTO, live hydraulics, and virtually bulletproof. Parts still available from AGCO (although I haven't bought anything for it for 20 years that I couldn't get at NAPA).
