Sorry Robert, but I think you are making a bad decision, but you will only realize how bad years from now. Case in point. 3 years ago, my father, who is now 66 talked about my grandfather's 1941 Farmall H. My father had fond memories and would have liked to have it. I too would have like to keep it in the family. But when my Grandfather passed, everything was auctioned off. I think the H brought $600. knowing now what we didn't know then, we should have bought the tractor from the estate auction and kept it. I could have given it to my son. My father now owns a 4020 JD. Will I sell the tractor when he passes? No way. He has spent too many hours in the seat for me to ever let it go. Al little bit of my dad (and a fair amount of money) are in that tractor. Get the tractor, restore it, and give it to a grandchild that will appreciate it.
