I also was worried about the hydraulics when considering a counterweight for my J.D.420 and came up with a welded barrel holder that is bolted to the tractor but not to the hydraulic arms.Not sure where it could be bolted to your tractor.The barrel sits back a way and,filled with gravel,provides an ideal counterweight.The loader is still hard on the front end tho.One wrong move and the tierods bend like spaggetti. I have wheel wieghts on too but they don't help offset the loaders wieght,they do add weight to the rear wheels,aiding traction.
