Steering Column: Fluid Leak

I recently purchased a 1955 Ferguson TO-35 Deluxe. I have noted fluid dripping from around the steering column; essentially just below gage panel. I've noted also that when I turn the steering wheel, a very small amount of fluid will spill out of the steering column's housing. Any cause for concern? This will be a work tractor kept nice - but not restored. I don't want to lose perspective; the tractor is almost fifty-years old - some fluid seepage seems acceptable. Thanks for your thoughts. Jim
