Back in about 1968 a neighbor of ours bought a 4010 gas tricycle with a four bottom fully mounted plow, he stopped by to show it off to my Dad and myself, bragging about how fast he was going to plow his bottom land down by the creek, Dad told him he had better not try that in that sandy bottom, he just thought we were nuts. Away he goes, Dad says, lets go watch the Show, We took the ole H Farmalittle down to our bottom, which was just a fence line away from his, well, he dropped the plow, went about 50 foot, and before he could try and get the plow up he was hung. He walked off of the platform of that Deere with out even stepping down. He ended up planting corn around it, and had to wait for a good freeze to get it out. And to show you that some people never learn, he bought a new Massey combine and it sat in that same bottom for three years that I know of, stuck.
