Mowing what I thought was soft ground. Turned out to be a thick floating mat. I discovered this when the tractor finally punched through it and sank down until the carburetor was just on the surface of the water.

After three days of trying to winch and dig it out using my truck, trees, and several shovels a neighbor came by with a huge seven thousand series Deere and lifted me out of the muck.

The ducks took a liking to the tractor out there.
