I grew up in SW Okla.on a wheat, cotton, cattle and alfalfa and feedgrain farm. My dad started farming with an IH M in 1940 with 4 row planter and cultivator. In 48 he bought a new H and in 50 he bought a new M. In 54 he converted the M to propane and sleeved up to a Super with high compression pistons. I learned to drive the H at the age of 9, sometime along the way we aquired a 44 Ford 9n and a 50 Ferguson TO-20. In Jan 61 we purchased a new JD 4010D wide front Rowcrop along with planter, cultivator, 4 bottom breaking plow. That tractor was like driving a Cadillac with power steering and brakes etc. Out of all of these tractors, the only ones we ever sold or traded was the 40 model M.
