Chris, try 4H or FFA. If there is no local chapter, check with your school about nearest one or how to start one. Check with your local salvage yard or implement dealer. I would start with the implement dealer. They might even give you floor space for your project depending on time and insurance. That way you would have some tools and manuals and instructors in house. Agree to let them display the tractor in front of their business if you can have it for parades or the county fair or tractor pulls and revues. They might enjoy the advertising. Both probably have project tractors laying around and might allow you to fix them up in return for the advertising you hang on the tractor during the next local parade. It will cost money but if you ask parts houses may even discount your needed parts for FFA. My guess is, there is already a chapter near you. Our local high school organized a bring your tractor to school day during farm progress days. The parking lot looked great. We spent more time in the lot than in school that day and I met alot of people that were interested in tractors too. Talk with that group and start a group of your own. I bet any number of them have old tractors laying around that they might get their dads to donate for a project that your looking to start. If your looking to do one for yourself, get yourself a job, save your nickels, and start looking in the back row. Good luck
