The price isn't bad but if your tractor is not equiped with one I would pass. The TA is basicly the first "power shift" put on a tractor. On a 300 it will be a lever to the left of the seat that you pull back to engage. Without shifting the tractor is geared down to about 2/3s the ground speed you where traveling. This is useful when plowing and you hit a "hard spot" or pulling a heavy load in road gear and the tractor lugs down. Once you get out of the hard ground or to the top of the hill you push the lever forward and the tractor shifts back up to full speed. If you are not doing any hard pulling the TA isn't all that necessary, some guys like to use them while mowing when they get in heavy grass but don't do it when pointed down hill, the tractor "free wheels" or coasts when the TA is engaged. Instead of slowing down it will speed up. I would pass on adding it to a tractor that doesn't have one, many people actually go to great lengths to remove them due to the expensive reapairs.
