As far as loaders go, I'd be looking at weight rather than horsepower. I've been following the discussion. I think you would be most happy with a utility tractor. If your doing a loader you probably want at least a 4000 lb. tractor if your going to do any serious work. Even with that weight you'll need rear weights. If your going to move snow, you'll want chains. I'm doing about what you want to do with a Massey 245. Just over 4000 lbs, 45 hp and I love it. Case IH, Ford, Allis, JD all have good tractors in that size. Don't rush, see what comes up and ask questions here. You can compare prices at sites like "Iron Search.com. Do your homework.
