BS! You don't have to get starter or generator rewound. The starter will turn the same direction regardless of which way the cables are hooked up. On the generator, all you have to do is polarize it. No big deal. On the wiring, reverse the leads to the ammeter, so that it will read correctly. Otherwise it will show discharge when the battery is actually charging. Reverse the leads on the coil and reverse the battery cables. You're done.
