I'm 18 and I work in a machine shop, and wear earplugs almost everyday. We make sprockets at my shop and it gets LOUD when we have a hobb running, even worse when they're all running. My Boss almost never wears ear-plugs and I can tell his hearing ain't exactly what it used to be. I also live on a farm and wear plugs almost everyday in the summer, espescially when in the field. Thoses machines may not seem too loud until you wear plugs and then take them out while running the machine. I also wear safety glasses on a regular basis, have to at work, and at home I have about 3 pair around in my truck, the shop, etc. I also have tinted safety glasses for my sunglasses, never know when your gonna need em and it's nice to have a tint on a bright, sunny day while usin' the gas string trimmer.
