"No matter how many pixels you buy, it isn't as good a quality as film yet." Theoretically thats true, on a practical basis many digital cameras are just as good as your average 35mm film. In fact alot of fancy photo studios are now using digital backplanes with their old 35mm SLR cameras. The backplanes can offer 6-8 megapixels which is really plenty for most print work. Really expensive fully digital SLR setups can get 10-12 megapixels which is plenty for posters, like BIG posters. As far as I'm concerned 35mm starts to run out of steam at 10x12" as long as you remember a minimum of 300pixels to the inch when you print out some digitals could go much larger. I find the major fault most people have is wanting to print full page. Of course most of the cheap softwaret that comes with the cameras doesn't help.
