Thanks for advise so far,I checked the suction side-no screen- huge pipe on the inlet side tiny outlet pipe, since liquids don't compress, how can there be a problem? I slowed the idle speed to a level just below the point when the pump buzzes.Should I change the oil again ? Is there something to thin the hydraulic oil which won't damage the seals ,pump etc.I don't know any oils thinner than hydro. oil. Alternatively a propane gas torch against the tank or sit and operate the lift for 1/2 hr thks for all help, excellent site,I do give advise sometimes but I guess that at the moment I am more of a taker than a giver!
