A serviced 2255 can be a decent tractor, the early ones had the C3150 Cat, but most were 3208's. If you drop the pan, checking crank bearings at two thousand hours, these engines perform, neglect, and you invite problems. MPFA seemed to agree better with the engine torque. 2WD models, with big duals, stress the gears, as Olivers are known for being worked hard by anyone. Good luck.
