You mention doing some rear blading so that's going to make you want something with a 3 pt. hitch like the little Ford Ns have. However, if you could live without the backblade I would definately look at an Allis Chalmers B. About the same hp as a Ford N, wide front, dependable, tough. Often overlooked by the yuppies who can spend the big $ for those Ns and Cubs. But pound for pound and dollar for dollar a great value. You should be able to find a real good running B for well under your 2K limit. I think the older ones had hand brakes which I wouldn't care for. We had a later B with foot brakes when I was a kid. It sure did a lot of work for us. Good luck
