Unless your Uncle bought it new, this is very low,
unless a more common reason. At 3000hrs, the 505
CDC version Cummins crankshaft failed. Dealer
recommended replacement, quote(about '85)$12K
complete. Tractor parked in shed 6 years, until
an engine was found. Accurate fact. Expensive to
fix, but the drive train was decent. Crab-steer
can be a problem to maintain, old tractor. Any
receipts on engine O-H? $5K, or buy a White 4-210,
4-225,4-270. Good luck.
