There is also a method of cold repair called "stitching of cast iron". A search in archives or with Google search engine will provide numerous sites. Stitching is done by overlapping holes with screws or special plugs driven in and is permanent fix. Cheaper than a block, Jake

Earthmaster Project Progress Just a little update on my Earthmaster......it's back from the dead! I pulled the head, and soaked the stuck valves with mystery oil overnight, re-installed the head, and bingo, the compression returned.
