Sony makes a real good camera, but they're expensive and eat through batteries fast. I've also found Olympus to be hard on batteries.
I have Fuji now that I really like, its very easy on batteries. I get about 100 pictures on 2 AA batteries, my Dad gets about 20. Thats for alkalines double that for NiMH rechargables. Rod's right, you don't need a ton of pixels for pure web work. I would never shoot at less than 640x480 though and I usually work at 1280x1024 which puts about 40 shots on my 16mb card. The 64mb card is cheap and I'll move to that soon. What you do is after you download the picture to your computer resize it. Most stuff I use is down at about 320x240, but shooting larger and sizing down makes for better looking pictures. It also gives me alot of crop space if I want to just use a small part of a picture.
2.0 Megapixels is a good size, with that on the best setting you'll be able to print out up to about 5x8 with really good results and 8x10 with moderate good results.
