Just went over this with my 861 Ford. After doing all posted here TWICE, I tore off the sheetmetal and removed the gas tank to discover a fifty year old 4 ince piece of rubber fuel line hidden under the tank . Fuel would flow well by gravity with the line open - but under the slow draw of the carb the rubber line would stop the fuel flow and the tractor. OK you can all pick on me now!!! But confession is good for the sole :>)

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
