I would reccomend an IH 706, 656, or 756. All were very popular models, very reliable, parts are still very avalible, loaders are commonly avalible, and they have all the modern-day, easy to use features like standard power steering, live PTO, power brakes on the 706 and 756, and most of them had 3-point hitch or IH's own Fast-Hitch, which can be converted to 3-point easily using the adapters. They are so easy to work on too! You can buy these tractors cheaply. For about $3000 you can still buy a good one with a gas engine. Late 706 Diesels and all 756 Diesels have the D-310 German Diesel engine and can still bring $7500. Just remember, these are big 65-75 horsepower tractors which are almost 40 years old, but they will outlast and out perform those little 4x4 40-horsepower overseas-built things. These are REAL tractors and you will be very happy with one.
