The magneto is independent of the tractor electrical system and so polarity is not an issue. The only low voltage wire on the tractor which is associated with the magneto is to kill the engine which is done by grounding the non-grounded side of the points in the mag, therefore preventing it from creating spark. The charging system description is excellent, but I might add that the two terminal oil pressure switch needs to be a normally open switch. Our MF 275 had the right kind from the factory if you are looking for an application to ask for.
