I have recently purchased a 590 4 Wheel drive with perkins 4.248 diesel Very similar to 290. after using it for a while engine raced a little then bogged down and stalled. checked all fluids and radiator. motor was not running hot. with injectors pulled I can turn motor over with a pry bar but not very easy pulled the oil pan and every thing looks good all rod bearings are free. Transmision shifts and tractor is in nuetral. hrdrolics seemed weak so I checked the filter and it was gummed up a little but had no metal pieces in it. stater has been checked out and every thing i can think of has been checked. Does anybody know if the hydroilc pump could be the problem. any ideas on how to very where my problem lies before splitting the tractor.
