not to knock the JD or what it can do. However the Ford is 50+- horspower not 20 of the JD. If you are using the Ford to full power some of the time. The JD will not work for you. With that said if you work within the limitations of the JD you will be very happy. I own a 1976 International cub with front loader, 5' box blade, single plow, front blade and 5' belly mower. Have moved over 100 ton of stone, too much dirt to mention and cut up trees if I could push them down. Still dosn't make it do what I do with my Oliver 66 and 1650. Just alot handier some of the time.
