Well, either it has had different kinds of transmission/hydraulic fluids put in it, or it does have water contamination, they will do that,they make some pretty good heat in that system, which will cause the water problem, as far as using diesel fuel to flush it, I don`t know about that, too many delicate seals in there. Myself, I would drain evey thing, put in the new filter screen, and get Hy-Tran from a Case/IH dealer and put in it, I have used Napa`s hydraulic oil in these with ok results.
