EPC shows four different axle lengths, so make sure you get the right one when hunting used parts. Some, if not all, of the axles were also common to the 6030, which also gives you some more avenues to search when looking for a good used one. Make sure the used axle hasn't had the bearing spin on the shaft. Also get ahold of the proper service manual to make sure you properly establish axle bearing preload. A hoist and the proper tools will make that job much easier, as you're working with some big iron there. You'll probably want to borrow or build some sort of a stand to set the axle in to keep the final drive in a vertical position during reassembly. Your local dealer would probably lend you one, especially if you purchase your bearings and seals there.
