I too have a IH 574. Mine too is now showing signs of a terminal clutch after 6 years of use. I'm planning on splitting mine myself and while replacing the clutch, I'll go ahead and freshen the motor as well. Right after buying it, I purchased all 3 of the factory manuals from my local Case IH dealer. There is a sereate book for both the engine service manual and operators manual. The chassis service manual is large and comes in a heavy plastic binder. All are very thorough with lots of illustrations and complete specification pages for each model of tractor and engine. There are also update pages for parts and procedures now obsolete and what part or procedure is now used. They are pretty thorough and have answered about every question I've ever had so far. I'd say it was $135 well spent to get the books.
