49 Farmall Super A Pistons

I purchased sleeve, piston and rings to replace worn sleeves. Starting to assemble and notice a magic marker dot on each piston on the underside of the piston at the wrist pin boss area. The shop manual noted that late model pistons where off-set .006 at the wrist pin mount. Does anyone know if the dot indicates the front of the piston?Thanks for any information.
