and explain the situation. They do not want fraudulent bidding and will act to prevent it. They have strict rules to protect bidders against this practice and other unfair bidding practices. They discourage sniping and condone proxy bidding at the amount you are willing to pay. There are so many members on e-bay they can't monitor everything so we all must act on the honor system to make the site fair and safe.
