806/1086 Torque Amplifiers

Torque amplifiers in both tractors were replaced by dealership several years ago. The 806 lasted about 6 mo, the 1086 quit working after 1 mo. The cost for replacement was about $3000 each. Both tractors work of in "high range" and will not engage at all in "low". I would like to repair both tractors but don't want to spend this much with such poor results. Does anyone have any ideas? (Both tractors are still worked hard and often)
